Mirasol Clean Elegance

About This Project

Transforming this traditional Mirasol Spanish-style home into a clean but comfortable contemporary style was not as straightforward as it sounds. The project entailed removing the original bulky dark architectural features, opening walls, and rebuilding a heavy wooden staircase to create an airy entry that now surrounds a two-story blown glass tear-dropped chandelier.

While the interior is a soft contemporary style, the homeowner’s personality is shown with the choice of art pieces and the use of bronze, giving a nod to a jazz era of the past.

Multiple conversation couches were used in the living room to section the expansive space without closing it off. A custom metallic wet bar with custom cabinetry and lighting was built in the corner of the dining room. Each space is centered around an oversized hand-blown contemporary light fixture with bronze accents, separating the open floor plan and serving as spectacular conversation starters.
